NTPC is currently looking for motivated and qualified candidates interested in the following
Position: CSR Manager
Workplace: Vientiane Head Office 50% and 50% working on Site.
Application Submission Deadline: 25 June 2025
Job Purpose:
Lead and manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and Government Relations (GOL) activities, ensuring compliance, stakeholder engagement, and effective project execution, specifically focusing on the NT2DF Phase 2 project and enhancing the company's sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Government Relation (GOL) Director to:
- Develop the new CSR strategy and revise CSR organization.
- Revise and/or updated CSR policy, develop the CSR procedures.
- CSR Team coaching and capacity building.
- Team recruitment (if any)
2. Implement NT2DF Phase 2
- Develop and approve the Operational Manual of NT2DF phase 2
- Develop and approve the NT2DF Workplan with KPIs (the project work plan until 2035, the 5 years’ work plan and the annual work plan)
- Arrange NT2DF steering Committee meetings (review all relevant documents and budget) for 2 times per year.
- Develop NT2DF’s KPI for monitoring, evaluation, dashboard and report
- Provide training and capacity building of NT2DF’ operational manual, funded agreement and the KPI to ensure well understanding of CSR Team and GOL relevant offices.
- Preparation project presentations (for NTPC Board, EXCOM and EX-EXCOM, and various meetings)
- Completing the weekly memos with the sustainability process updates
- Interacting with different internal and external stakeholders (NTPC, EDF, Legal Unit…)
3. Check and ensure that all the CSR projects & activities meet the requirements in terms of:
- Governance
- Work schedule
- Budget planning vs. spending
- Stakeholders’ engagement
- Project outcomes
- Risk management mitigation
- Compliance (CSR fundings golden rules, NTPC policies, shareholders policies…).
4. CSR team monitoring and improve external visibility
- Weekly update CSR Roadmap and weekly meetings with CSR team.
- Produce the annual Sustainability Report, and promote CSR communication to internal and external stakeholders
5. Develop the partnerships with clients, suppliers, employees, and other charities of NTPC’s CSR programmes.
6. Submit LE2, LE3 and annual budget to Finance and Accounting Unit; and Follow-up the budget (Monthly and Annually) of CSR and GOL Affaires.
7. Validate monthly financial report of CSR.
8. Monthly meeting with GOL stakeholders (NK, GML, MHX districts and KHM Province) to update the progress works and sharing any challenges for their further cooperation.
Competency Requirements:
- Master of sustainability development, community development or other related fields.
- Passionate about CSR with experience in sustainable projects, CSR or inclusive community development, capacity building or project coordination involving an international organization and/or the Government.
- Project management experience (Organization, planification, reporting…)
- Excellent communication skills, working very well across multiple teams.
- Highly motivated for the challenge, proactive, open-minded, creative thinker & a real team player
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- An ability to create presentations and deliver them in an influential and engaging manner.
