SOS Children’s Villages Laos is a Member Association (MA) of the SOS Children’s Villages International federation, which is one of the largest non-for-profit organisation in the world dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it. SOS Children’s Villages Laos has been active in the country for more than 30 years. Through its program interventions in 6 provinces, SOS Children’s Villages Laos provides family like care, protection, education and community based programs to hundred of children and youth.
We advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. Digital and Communication Marketing Executive
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a creative and dynamic Digital Marketing and Communication Officer to drive our online presence and fundraising efforts. This role will focus on creating engaging digital content, managing social media and website platforms, and initiating digital fundraising campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of marketing, communication, and analytical skills, suitable for a growing nonprofit organization with a focus on maximizing impact through cost-effective strategies.
Location: National Office, Vientiane, Laos
Project Duration: (Short term from 1 May,2025 - 30 April, 2026), possible to extend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create content (visual and written) for all communication channels, with a focus on fundraising for digital, corporate, and major donor audiences.
- Manage the website and social media accounts (Facebook, TikTok), including planning and producing regular content.
- Initiate and implement digital fundraising campaigns, particularly through social media and Facebook, within the approved budget.
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance metrics for social media and website platforms to inform future strategies.
- Manage and monitor expenses and report income generated from digital fundraising activities.
Person Specification
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or online fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Strong skills in content creation (copywriting, basic graphic design, and visual storytelling).
- Experience with website management (WordPress or similar platforms) and social media advertising tools (especially Facebook Ads).
- Good analytical skills for reporting and campaign performance evaluation.
- Ability to manage budgets effectively and report on income and expenses.
- Creative, proactive, and able to work independently with limited resources.
- Basic video editing skills and familiarity with TikTok content creation is a plus.
