Trainer

As a Trainer, you will plan and run trainings on finance and business topics for communities and field staff. Sessions take place both in Vientiane and in the provinces. You will create training materials, run the trainings, and check how well they work, while keeping up with good ways to teach and support clients.

To do well in this role, you should have experience as a Trainer and enjoy sharing knowledge with others. You should feel comfortable speaking in front of different groups, have good communication skills, and be strong in both Lao and English. Experience working in rural areas of Laos is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out field studies and surveys in rural areas of Laos
• Create training programs and materials on finance and business topics
• Call potential customers to offer trainings
• Run trainings using different methods, such as in a classroom, online or in webinars
• Check how well trainings worked and follow up with participants
• Work together with communities, local authorities, field staff and project partners
• Support and help coordinate LTS field staff when needed
• Write activity reports, training reports, presentations and other project documents
• Support village banks, financial literacy programs and other field projects

Requirements:

• A degree in Business Administration, Education, Training, HR or a related field
• Experience working as a Trainer
• Knowledge of financial literacy, or experience in finance
• Can speak and write both Lao and English
• Willing to travel to rural areas
• Good at making decisions and staying organized
• Can explain information clearly and in an interactive way to different audiences
• Good computer skills, including MS Office and training software
• Experience with digital data collection or reporting tools is a plus
• A background in Rural Development or IT is a plus
