NTPC is currently looking for motivated and qualified candidates interested in the following position:

Position: OT Application Management Engineer/I&C SCADA 

Workplace: Sangkeo Village, Gnommalath District, Khammouane Province

Job Purpose: Responsible for maintaining and managing Operational Technology (OT) applications and SCADA systems to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Plant. The position supports preventive and corrective maintenance, cybersecurity implementation, software lifecycle management, system improvements, and technical support for operational technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure personal safety and promote a safe working environment in compliance with NTPC HSE requirements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA, Protection, Telecommunication, and related control systems.
• Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, strengthening cybersecurity, and driving continuous improvement in critical applications used inside Operation and Maintenance Unit (OMU) including the application in operational technology, the SCADA applications, ICT interfacing software such as the Billing System, PowerEx-Long term historical data server and tools such as E-TMD, E-Logsheet, and E-Logbook, etc.… in cooperation with Operation and ICT teams.
• Implement cybersecurity best practice including software life cycle assessments, license compliance, manage security patching, backup and restoration process. 
• Follow up vulnerabilities finding related to operational technology applications and propose fixing vulnerabilities.
• Responsible for monitoring and assessment of equipment, hardware and network infrastructure
• Monitor equipment performance, analyze maintenance data, and recommend system improvements.
• Prepare maintenance plans, technical documentation, and maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP.
• Coordinate maintenance projects and supervise contractors to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and annual outage maintenance activities.
• Support emergency response activities and participate in the SCADA on-call roster when qualified.. 

Competency Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Automation, Telecommunication, Electrotechnical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in SCADA, OT applications, industrial automation, or hydropower maintenance.
• Fluent using Artificial Intelligent technology and strong willing to learn
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC, Industrial Communication Protocols (IEC61850, Modbus, OPC), SQL databases, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to analyse technical issues, troubleshoot industrial control systems, and manage maintenance projects.
• Good communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and good in English skills.
