NTPC is currently looking for motivated and qualified candidates interested in the following position:

Position: SCADA Engineer Trainee

Workplace: Sangkeo Village, Gnommalath District, Khammouane Province

Job Purpose: Responsible for gaining practical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining SCADA systems and related operational technology. The trainee will support preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and cybersecurity practices while developing the competencies required to become a permanent SCADA Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow NTPC Health, Safety, and Operational procedures during all maintenance activities.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of SCADA, Protection, Telecommunication, Excitation, and related systems.
• Support troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, calibration, and equipment inspections.
• Assist in maintaining interfaces between SCADA systems and operational applications.
• Prepare maintenance documentation and update maintenance records in SAP.
• Support contractor supervision and participate in system improvement projects.
• Follow Operational Technology Cybersecurity procedures and maintain system reliability.
• Develop technical knowledge and engineering skills through structured on-the-job training. 

Competency Requirements: 

• Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Systems, Automation, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of SCADA, PLC, Industrial Control Systems, and computer networks and cybersecurity skills is an advantage.
• Strong willingness to learn, analytical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Good in English skills.
