About TripBuddy

Tripbuddy is a local discovery platform - designed to help people explore authentic experiences, local food, attraactions, events, and hidden gems in Laos.

The platform is designed for both locals and international travelers. Tripbuddy combines social content, travel discovery, and smart travel tools into one seamless platform.

Role Summary

We're hiring a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain both the user-facing app and the backend services that power it. You'll work across the entire stack — from mobile and web interfaces to APIs, databases, and third-party integrations such as maps, payments, and the vendor data platform. This is a hands-on role with broad ownership, ideal for someone who enjoys shipping fast, solving practical problems, and seeing their work used by real travelers and local vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Full stack development. Build and maintain features across the mobile app, web platform, and backend services.

API design. Design, develop, and document clean REST/GraphQL APIs that serve the app and the vendor portal.

Database work. Model and manage relational data, write efficient queries, and keep the database healthy as the platform scales.

Integrations. Connect and maintain services such as maps/places, payments, image storage, and search.

Frontend delivery. Translate designs into responsive, polished interfaces that match TripBuddy's brand and design language.

Code quality. Write reliable, testable code; review pull requests; and help maintain quality across the codebase

•   Maintenance. Help diagnose and fix bugs, monitor performance, and improve stability after launch.

Collaboration. Work closely with product, design, and the business development team to turn requirements into working features.

Required Qualifications

Experience. 3+ years of professional full stack development experience (strong recent graduates with solid project work will be considered).

Frontend. Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React or React Native.

Backend. Experience building backend services with Node.js (Express), Python (FastAPI), or a comparable framework.

Databases. Solid working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and writing performant queries.

APIs & integrations. Comfortable consuming and building APIs, and integrating third-party services.

Version control. Confident with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Mindset. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team.

Communication. Good written and spoken English; ability to communicate clearly with a distributed team.

Nice to Have

Experience with mobile app development (React Native or native iOS/Android).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with payment integrations and maps/places APIs (e.g., Google Places).

Exposure to travel, OTA, marketplace, or location-based products.

An eye for design and attention to UI/UX detail.

    Lao or Thai language ability.

What We Offer

Broad ownership and the chance to shape a product from its early stages.

A small, collaborative team where your work has direct, visible impact.

Modern tools and a focus on building things the right way.

The opportunity to grow alongside a fast-developing platform and the Laos tourism market.
