Key Responsibilities
- Monitor trending content across major social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, with a focus on travel, food, and lifestyle topics relevant to Laos and the region.
- Select and update featured vendors, places, and experiences for the Trending, Recommended, and Suggested sections of the app on a regular basis.
- Identify emerging places and experiences early, so they can be featured before they reach peak popularity elsewhere.
- Write clear, engaging short descriptions and captions that encourage users to visit, save, or share recommended places.
- Review user behavior data—including search terms, taps, saves, and shares— to inform content decisions.
- Coordinate with the content collection team to ensure that trending places are properly visited, photographed, and reviewed before being published.
- Maintain a weekly content calendar covering planned highlights, seasonal themes, and time-sensitive events.
- Report regularly to the team on trends, top-performing content, and recommendations for upcoming features.
Requirements
- Strong familiarity with major social media platforms and a clear understanding of how content gains traction online.
- Ability to recognize early-stage trends, not only those that have already become popular.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and engagingly in plain language.
- Good knowledge of the food, travel, and lifestyle scene in Laos, or a strong willingness to learn it quickly.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple lists, schedules, and updates at the same time.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and standard content management tools.
- Fluent in English; working knowledge of Lao is highly preferred.
