This is an exciting time to join PanAust and our subsidiary company, Phu Bia Mining in Laos. Our Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation and our Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operation in Laos are both delivering strong production and cost performances and are targeted to reach peak production over the next few years. In addition, the PanAust Group is progressing well in its Stage 1 Feasibility Study of the newly acquired Frieda River Copper Project in PNG

This role is based in Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) with 2 days off (Saturday and Sunday).
Reporting to Senior Communications Advisor, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and delivering high-quality communications across multiple channels and audiences, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations. The role requires exceptional English or Lao writing skills, strong digital and social media capabilities, and the ability to coordinate complex projects involving diverse stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and delivering high-quality communications across various channels to support organisational goals. This includes:
- Writing & Content Creation – Produce clear, engaging English/Lao content for web, media, internal and external audiences; conduct interviews; adapt messaging for different stakeholders; translate between English / Lao.
- Digital & Social Media – Manage website updates, plan and post social media content, and track performance with analytics tools.
- Project & Stakeholder Coordination – Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, government bodies, shareholders, and the head office to ensure timely, accurate communications.
To be successful in this role, you will require the following:
Essential skills
- Preferably holds a degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in communications, media or digital content creation.
- Exceptional English/Lao writing skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences.
- Proven ability to conduct insightful interviews with staff at all levels, from front-line team members to leaders.
- Proficient in managing websites, social media platforms and use of analytics tools.
- Strong communication skills in both Lao and English, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Desirable skills
- Experience in graphic design, video production or experience in the mining industry.
