This is an exciting time to join PanAust and our subsidiary company, Phu Bia Mining in Laos. Our Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation and our Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operation in Laos are both delivering strong production and cost performances and are targeted to reach peak production over the next few years. In addition, the PanAust Group is progressing well in its Stage 1 Feasibility Study of the newly acquired Frieda River Copper Project in PNG

We offer many different career opportunities at our mine and exploration sites and in our Vientiane office; and as an employer who values diversity, we encourage women to apply for all available positions.  Our modern mine camps provide great Lao, Asian and Western food, sport and recreational facilities and housekeeping services. Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.


Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, you will play a major role in cataloguing, inventory, supply chain optimisation and reporting activities. Demonstrating technical competence with ERP systems and capacity to interpret data related to usage, lead time and other relevant supply chain metrics is crucial to the success of this role. While this role requires analytical skills with strong attention to details, it also involves working closely with diverse group of stakeholders such as Warehousing, Logistics, Purchasing, Government Relations, and Maintenance departments.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cataloguing, inventory, supply chain optimisation and reporting activities
  • Work closely with Site planners, execution teams and other stakeholders to understand demand and align inventory levels to address requirements.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing to understand vendor lead times and potential impacts to inventory levels.
  • Utilize analytics insights relating to supply and demand to formulate optimized inventory strategies for materials across the inventory portfolio.
  • Work closely with Operations and GR team to complete the import permit plan, participate in GOL meetings, and regularly update actual import data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective execution of defined strategies.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the inventory processes and procedures as and when required.


To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Degree in Business or related fields such as Supply Chain, Mathematics, and Statistics
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Inventory, Warehousing, or Supply chain 
  • Proven experience in data analysis
  • Strong competence with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written English and Lao communication skills
  • Ability to use SAP or another ERP system would be an advantage
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
