In Laos, PanAust owns a 90 per cent interest in the Lao-registered company, Phu Bia Mining. The Government of Laos owns the remaining 10 per cent. Phu Bia Mining owns and operates PanAust Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operation.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Team Leader – UG. The UG Maintenance Technician – Auto Electrical is responsible for performing electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on underground mobile mining equipment to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on underground mobile equipment
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and fault finding on a variety of equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and actively promote a zero-harm work culture
• Minimize equipment downtime by making informed, timely decisions
• Support the training and development of junior mechanics and service staff
• Contribute to contamination control initiatives in line with Caterpillar “5 Star” standards
• Deliver high-quality work with a focus on reliability and efficiency

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Qualification in Automotive Technology or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in auto electrical maintenance.
• Experience working with high voltage systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proactive, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
