This is an exciting time to join PanAust and our subsidiary company, Phu Bia Mining in Laos. Our Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation and our Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operation in Laos are both delivering strong production and cost performances and are targeted to reach peak production over the next few years. In addition, the PanAust Group is progressing well in its Stage 1 Feasibility Study of the newly acquired Frieda River Copper Project in PNG.

Our modern mine camps provide great Lao, Asian and Western food, sport and recreational facilities and housekeeping services. Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.
Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of fixed plant equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safe work practices and follow all site safety procedures and policies.
- Electrical and instrument repairs of all Plant Equipment.
- 100% completion of all scheduled PM inspections work order information filled correctly.
- Reporting all incidents and accidents.
- Reporting all equipment problems and issues found on PM inspections.
- Work with others from every department teamwork.
- Perform task housekeeping on every task and allocated areas for 5S
- Tool management returning tools same day to tool store keeping tools clean and serviceable zero loss of tool.
- Being flexible for shutdown periods able to adjust roster breaks to suit required shutdowns.
- Time management reporting for duty on time daily manage lunch breaks to allotted time. All leave breaks must be approved before taking. All sick offs to have Doctor Certificates.
- Plan each task and be Job Ready for all tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant qualification in the electrical field.
- Previous experience in electrical maintenance; however, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- A proactive and professional approach to maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to respond to breakdowns and perform repairs as needed.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
- Strong motivation, adaptability, and a dedicated work ethic.
