SOS Children’s Villages Laos is a Member Association (MA) of the SOS Children’s Villages International federation, which is one of the largest non-for-profit organisation in the world dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it. SOS Children’s Villages Laos has been active in the country for more than 30 years. Through its program interventions in 6 provinces, SOS Children’s Villages Laos provides family like care, protection, education and community based programs to hundred of children and youth.
We advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. Administrative Officer
Job Purpose: We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Fundraising and Communication Administrative Officer to support our fundraising and communication operations. The role will focus on handling administrative tasks, maintaining donor relations, and supporting the development of fundraising materials.
Location: National Office, Vientiane, Laos
Project Duration: (Short term from 1 May,2025 - 30 April, 2026), possible to extend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact point for incoming communication through telephone, email, WhatsApp, and Facebook inbox.
- Manage and update the donor database; coordinate with the Finance Department to issue and send donation receipts.
- Schedule appointments, arrange meetings/visit, and provide logistical support for donor and stakeholder engagements.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing materials for fundraising initiatives, including brochures, donation boxes, and other promotional items.
- Provide administrative support to the fundraising and communication team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Person Specification
Qualification & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in administrative support, fundraising, communication, or related fields (fresh graduates with strong skills are also welcome).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple communication platforms professionally.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with basic donor database management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and service-minded attitude.
