JOB ANNOUCEMENT

1. Mechanical Engineer

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer to work in Production Department in our garment factory in Vientiane in Lao PDR. The person we are searching for is a proactive and dynamic and supportive team player who thrives in a hectic environment and who focuses on getting things done.

The job:

• Analyze problems to see how mechanical, electrical, or thermal devices might help solve them.
• Design or redesign mechanical, electrical or thermal devices or subsystems, using analysis and computer-assisted design.
• Investigate equipment issues to diagnose faults and recommend solutions.
• Develop and test prototypes of devices they design.
• Analyze the test results and change the design or system as needed.
• Oversee the manufacturing process for the device.
• Train and supervise operators in using devices, ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Join, support, and/or coordinate the implementation of the improvement projects in the workshop.
• Follow Production Manager’s instructions and report all Production-related issues with no delay.
• Other required tasks are commensurate with your position and level of responsibility, if any.

Qualifications required:

• I graduated from a university of technology with a diploma in mechanical engineering.
• At least 2 years’ experience of working in a garment factory is an advantage.
• Good at AutoCAD and Corel.
• Language: Basic English.
• Good command of Microsoft Office.
