JOB ANNOUCEMENT

1. Laboratory Technician

We are hiring an experienced a Lab Technician to work in Laboratory department in our garment factory in VITA Park Industrial Zone, in Vientiane in Lao PDR.

The person we are looking for is adapted, proven in a hectic environment, with responsive and get things done.

The job:

➢Responsible for checking quality’s shipment samples + T-shirt and checking shade from bulk in warehouse (include new and current supplier) according to ASP’s requirement and sealed/master standard (Shade, woven direction, weight, width, hand feel, water column…). To monitor the rejected shipment samples, tracking number and push supplier to receive new shipment sample.

• Follow up the bulk’s coming, check the faults if it has found on shipment samples, prepare hanger, and give light table workers.
• Check the width, weight for fabric which will not inspected at light table machine (padding, chainsaw padding…).
• Split shade for each roll in case bulk fabric has much shade in the same lot.
• Cut hanger and paste specimen sample into the continue card.
• Follow up Qmark/Smark/Update batch text after making GR in SAP.
• Measure the mold and humidity for fabric in stock and incoming goods.

➢Responsible for the various tests (tearing strength, tensile strength, Abrasion, pilling box, color fastness to rubbing, color fastness to washing, water column, dimension of shrinkage, seam sealing tape, transfers test on fabric… wash test) on shipment samples and the bulk fabric shipment and agreed standard between supplier and Mascot Denmark. Ensure the test at lab follows the procedure.

• Evaluate the test of results and update these results on SAP’s system or database, the UD (usage decision) code for Qlot.
• Follow up Qmark/Smark/update batch text after fabric GR on SAP’s system for testing fabric does not match with standard.
• The test report from testing services (Esquire…): Update the test result from this report on SAP’s system + cancel Qlot in SAP.

➢Responsible for laundry machines, equipment at the Lab and chemicals:

• All machines at Laundry operate properly, assure the water to meet EU’s standard.
• Equipment in the lab must operate carefully, clean.
• Consumable of spare part, chemical at RO’s system, test materials control well, no missing, and to used right time and do not use materials are over shelf life.
• Clean laundry rooms, machines, and water filter system room every day.
• Evaluation of the defects from sub-contractor and NCR.
• Washing samples request from production.
• Other required tasks are commensurate with the position and level of responsibilities, is any.

Qualification and Experience required:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Having experience of working at QC, QA in garment company is preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience.
• Good understanding, carefulness, flexibility, high awareness of discipline, good at English, computer skills: Microsoft word, excel…
• Strong time management and planning skills.
