POSITION:      BUSINESS ANALYST

DEPARTMENT:     SALES

LOCATION:    VIENTIANE HEAD OFFICE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Analyst role focuses on optimizing the pricing, assortment, promotions, and trading terms of LBC's brand portfolio to maximize value across various categories and market segments. The executive will support the Value Management Manager by analyzing data, providing recommendations for revenue growth, and developing revenue strategies. Additionally, the role involves integrating Revenue Management into all commercial processes and ensuring best practices in pricing, promotions, and trading terms. 

  • Assist Value Management Manager to create revenue growth management model beginning with the foundational work of processes, best practices, system and data requirements.
  • Assist Value Management Manager to set Brand, Pack & Channel architecture and identify opportunities to optimize revenue, margins and profitability through the use of pack, brand, channel and region/province mix and identify opportunities for differentiated pricing.
  • Assist Value Management Manager to suggest price increase and trading terms with impact on: Price ladder, Trade margin, Financials – (volume, revenue, GPaL) and Executability.
  • Assist Value Management Manager to provide input into commercial reviews, management reviews, budget, etc to drive strategic initiatives focusing on price, promotions, assortment and trading terms as well as sources of growth.
  • Price execution – support price execution in trade via customer sell in stories, training and monitoring.
  • Trade price promotions and discounts – work with sales team to set promotional guidelines, ROI measurement.
  • Provide input into all relevant commercial decisions and reinforce VM embedment in all of them.
  • Guide finance and commercial resources in running VM tools and specify Commercial Finance requirements to support building a strong revenue growth focused organization. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

  • At least bachelor’s in, business administration, or related field. 
  • Min 3 years cross-functional experience (Finance, Sale and Marketing).
  • Good analytical skills and ability to structure complex business issues.
  • Ability to deal with multiple complexities.
  • Ability to work across all levels in various functional areas such as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance.
  • Proactive, independent and high on initiative.
  • Attention to detail and methodical.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially advance skills in Excel is required).
  • Fluent in English & Lao (writing and speaking).
