Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd is a Chinese multinational technology company that provides telecommunications equipment and sells consumer electronics, including smartphones and head quartered in ShenZhen, China. The company was founded in 1987 by Mr. Ren Zhengfei. Initially focused on manufacturing phone switches, Huawei has expanded business to include building telecommunications networks, providing operational and consulting services and equipment to enterprise inside and outside of China, and manufacturing communications devices for the consumer market. Huawei had over 207,000 employees, around 76,000 of them engaged in Research & Development (R&D). Huawei has deployed products and service in more than 170 countries and as of 2011 we served 45 of 50 largest telecom operators. Our networks, numbering over 1,500 reach one third of the world’s population. We ranked 44th on the Fortune Global 500 list in December 2022, ranked 8th on Boston Consulting Group Most Innovative Companies, and ranked 4th in R&D investment. Annual revenue had risen to US$108.5 billion in 2018 (a 21% increase over 2017).

Huawei Technologies (Lao) Sole Co., Ltd has established the business in Laos since 1998. The total market share at the recent is about 80% across the countries. Huawei Laos has been supporting telecommunication companies in Laos to build telecommunications networks. In 2013, we have created 3G internet packages and advancing into 4G in the following years. Now, the year of 2024 will be the creation and expansion of 5G network in Laos.
