Pilot Project for the Irrigation of Nam Kata (PPINK)
The Government of Lao PDR (GoL) has received a financing from the French Development Agency (AFD) to support the Pilot Project for the Irrigation of Nam Kata (PPINK), in Boualapha District, Khammouane Province. The aim of the project is to fight poverty and increase agricultural production capacity via the sustainable rehabilitation and extension of the Nam Kata irrigated scheme. It is part of the implementation of a national irrigation strategy combining: i) the rehabilitation of the irrigation scheme and perimeter; and ii) the establishment of an effective, sustainable management structure that involves the producers through active Water Users Groups (WUG) and Water Users Association (WUA). The project is organized in three main components: 1) Irrigation infrastructure, 2) Support to WUO and Extension services, and 3) Management, Monitoring and capitalization of project activities
PPINK is currently seeking a Qualified Professional Translator from English into Lao and Lao into English. The main duties and responsibilities are briefly described as follows.

Duration of Assignment and Location
The assignment will be in line with the project duration from now to 2021. The assignment will be based in Thakhek District, and the field work will be in Boualapha District, Khammoun Province.
