JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

We are currently looking for Inventory Officer based in Luangprabang

Role Purpose

The inventory officer supports the Field Programme Manager North to ensure effective and timely norther program inventories and a closed coordination with CO supply chain.  He/she is responsible for all inventories related to northern programme and will provide additional support to the North Operation Team as required.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly. 

KEY AREA OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Ensure they fully understand the provisions of the Child Safeguarding Policy, the Code of Conduct and Local/Country Procedures.
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with the rules of the Child Safeguarding Policy, in their personal and professional lives – which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse.
  • Make sure all asset lists received from the country office and keep in track
  • Register any asset/equipment/material which procure from Luangprabang programmes north office in to the tracker
  • Maintain and update inventory records and share to line manager and CO Supply Chain focal point when needs.
  • Track all assets which are temporarily used by staff and record into the tracker
  • Asset physical count and reconciliation
  • Coordinate closely with the country supply chain team, line manager in order to dispose any assets when needed.
  • Receive and sign the goods received note (GRN) of equipment/material from the country office and keep in track.
  • Manage stock room and track equipment/material regularly
  • Support program team to prepare handover note when necessary and make sure handed over notes returned to the office and documented properly
  • Reconcile partner equipment/materials
  • Filling all handover notes and other documents as required
  • Keep a good track of office consumables, prepare the list needed to be procured.
  • Record and update consumption goods to the tracker and reconcile
  • Record inventory to the tracker and keep it in track
  • Close coordination with operations and program team.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with all SCI Lao staff
  • Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with all partners/ stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree Business Administration/ Finance or any other relevant field

Experience and Skills

  • At least 1 years related work experience with INGO or company
  • Good computer skill (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Good level of English
  • Basic skills on office management and supply chain.
  • Basic skills on general administration 

Contract length: fixed term (8 months)
