Vacancy Announcement     

Senior Project Officers in Gender Based Violence             

 (1 position, based in Dakchueng Office, Sekong Province) 


  • Contribute to all aspects of project implementation and achievement of project objectives and Goal.
  • With support from a GBV Advisor, participate in GBV Training of Trainers and then provide training and coaching to partner’s team (CSO and government) on necessary skills in order to implement the project effectively.  Also, provide other supports in order to strengthen the partners’ capacity.
  • Actively participate in project activity planning, monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Maintain a good working relationship providing high quality support for all team members. 
  • Liaison with all stakeholder and implementing agencies such as LWU/CAW and concerned ministries to project implementation. (For provinces, will be at provincial level)
  • Contribute to design and development IEC materials.
  • Support information to the project officer in Country Office who maintain the project page (Facebook) and other media activities 
  • Prepare quarterly budget, activity plan and financial report.
  • Writing reports (monthly, six-monthly and annually) and review partners’ reports. 
  • Contribute to design, develop M&E system, and involve in project evaluation planning and activities.  Attend all project trainings/workshops and other related trainings.
  • Occasionally travel to other provinces where project is implementing.   
  • Other tasks assigned by the Project Manager.  


  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in social science, international development, community development, development management, gender issues and gender based violence, or another related field. with minimum 3 years’ experience or a minimum technical diploma with 4 years relevant work experience in project work
  • Activities preferably with an International Non-Government Organisation (INGO) and/or private company;
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to addressing gender concerns, issues related to violence against women and experience of working alongside vulnerable groups.
  • Understanding of human rights issues and rights-based approach to development. Knowledge or Experience in working on ending GBV is an advantage. 
  • Experience of working in partnership with government counterparts and working with community level.
  • Understanding of different approaches to capacity building for different groups of people.
  • Experience on budget planning and manage petty cash. 
  • Experience on IT (Microsoft Office, Photoshop …) and social media publication such as Facebook page.
  • Good level of both spoken and written in English. Talieng or Katou language is an advantage
