Malaria Program Officer (Analyst)
Founded in 2002 by US President Bill Clinton, CHAI is a global health organization committed to strengthening health systems and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria and other illnesses. CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives.
In 2014, CHAI established a partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Lao PDR to provide technical assistance focused on strengthening the National Malaria Control Program (CMPE). The activities are focused on improving operational planning, epidemiological analysis, resource mobilization and supply management.
Summary of Position:
CHAI is seeking a highly-motivated individual with experience working in client-facing positions, strong analytical abilities and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The Analyst will provide support to improve the operations of the Ministry of Health, focused on the Malaria Program. This includes conducting analysis on epidemiological, logistics, operational and financial data, drafting proposals and reports, presenting and sharing findings from projects with senior management at CMPE. This position will also have a strong focus on capacity building. The Analyst will be based in Vientiane, Lao PDR with some travel to provide operational support to the provincial- and district-level anti-malarial stations.
