DEPARTMENT: Research, M&E Department

REPORTS TO: Research, M&E and WHP Director

SUPERVISES: Medical Outreach Officers

COMMITMENT: Full Time

LOCATION: Vientiane Capital

Job Summary:

Reporting to Research, M&E and WHP Director, the Women’s Health Project Coordinator serves a supervisory, management, medical, and technical role to ensure that our Prevention Unsafe Abortion and Family planning activities has conduct with all levels effectively in public and private facilities and smoothly implement to achieve the project goal as well as having responsibility for advocacy. 

Main Duties:

  • Coordinate and collaborate Safe abortion/Post abortion care and Family planning activities with relevant partners (MoH as DHHP, DHCR, FDD, MCHC, OBGY association…)
  • Support in drafting the donor narrative and indicator reports as well as adding inputs and updating progress and challenges.
  • Prepare all document and run the process related to get approval MoU of the project (district, provincial, central (MoH and MoFA).
  • Coordinate and collaborate the Women Health activities with Head quarter.
  • Budget planning, monthly following up and reviewing the expenditure relevant WHP activities as planned.
  • Participate all relevant meeting and keep the input that related to WHP as reviewing the RMNCAH strategy 2021-2025 at high level and the technical working group.
  • Oversee the performance of Women’s health project by working closely with Reproductive Health Supervisor and medical team to ensure they are compliance with PSI medical standard and national standards.
  • Participate in the social enterprise activities as well as adding inputs and activities planning.
  • Supervise spot check on Government Trainers and WHP team
  • Support in conducting the advocacy meeting relevant to the WHP work plan at policy level of MoH.
  • Support in donor progress report
  • Work closely with communication team to ensure a design of women’s health project are high quality and answer the needs of target group.
  • Support Marketing and procurement team to register Mifepristone and available in Essential Medicine List by coordinate with relevant partner.
  • Be leading in data use in DHIS2 for better decision based on data results.
  • Review all technical document related to the project.
  • Contribute the team management by conducting the technical refresher training.
  • Represent PSI at relevant meetings, workshops and training as needed and perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in public health, OBGY/Midwife Specialist, General medical doctor, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years working experience in reproductive health, mother and child health or related field
  • English Competency: Excellent English language both writing and speaking is required.
  • Computer Skills: MS office; Words, Excels, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet web browsers and email.
  • Specific Knowledge: Must be able to grasp medical areas, products, and services of interest to PSI/Laos.
