This is an exciting time to join PanAust and our subsidiary company, Phu Bia Mining in Laos. Our Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation and our Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operation in Laos are both delivering strong production and cost performances and are targeted to reach peak production over the next few years. In addition, the PanAust Group is progressing well in its Stage 1 Feasibility Study of the newly acquired Frieda River Copper Project in PNG.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Team Leader, you will play a key role in the daily maintenance and care of mobile mining plant at the Ban Houayxai Gold/Silver project by ensuring that all machines are refueled and receive the correct types and amounts of lubricants and other fluids to operate. In addition to this other duties may be required as directed by the mobile maintenance coordinator or other PBM site supervisors and managers. The position will require being proactive in the daily servicing and checking of the plant items you are responsible for reporting and faults that you recognize to the maintenance technicians and supervisor to ensure availability is maximized and maintenance and operational costs are kept to a minimum.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work safety and assist others to work in a safe manner
  • Provide fuel, oils, grease and any other fluids required during daily servicing, PM servicing and breakdown repairs
  • Competently check and adjust the levels of all oil, coolant and other fluid levels on all machines that are the responsibility of the mobile maintenance department
  • Operate the service trucks in a safe manner
  • Maintaining the service truck and any allocated tooling to a high level
  • Partake in all training programs provided by the company
  • Notifying Supervisors when a tool or parts are damaged or broken
  • All other duties assigned by the Employee’s supervisor appointed by the Company

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Must have previous experience as a Truck Driver at least 2 years
  • Must have driver license
  • Competent to operate/drive 10 wheeler truck especially for HINO truck
  • Be active and available for work
  • High quality team player and team work skills
