GIZ International Services is currently preparing to bid for the EU funded project “Technical Assistance in Support to the Lao PDR National Nutrition Strategy and Plan of Action (NPAN)”. The project’s objective is to contribute to reducing malnutrition in Lao PDR with a focus on gender and disadvantaged groups, with a link to the Public Financial Management Reform (PFM), public administration reform and nutrition –education-agriculture nexus.
This Technical Assistance is part of the complementary measures envisaged in the EUR 42 million EU sector Reform Performance contract ”Support to the Lao PDR National Nutrition Strategy and Plan of Action”, delivered through a Budget Support modality.
The purposes of this project is to strengthen the institutional capacities of the National Nutrition Committee/Secretariat (NNC/S) to implement the National Nutrition Strategy (NNS) and National Plan of Action for Nutrition at central and sub-national levels, and notably to:
The following results are expected to be achieved:
Result 1: Strengthened nutrition planning, budgeting, tracking and reporting in the Agriculture, Education and Health sectors, at central and sub-national levels.
Result 2: Strengthened links between the NPAN and the Agricultural, Education and Health development plans and budgets at central and sub-national levels.
Your tasks
The National Project Coordinator will work full-time. He/she will mainly coordinate technical assistance and training; will be responsible for maintaining communication with national stakeholders and perform regular monitoring.
