KOICA is supporting the ‘Integrated Programme for Climate Resilience and Empowerment in Attapeu, Lao PDR (2019~2023)’ in cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, KOICA PIU is Seeking high skills, qualified and motivated Lao national to join our team as an Administration Officer, the work place will be in KOICA PIU Office in Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Department of Labour and Social Welfare, Vientiane Capital, Lao PDR

Job Title: Administration Officer

Duration: 1 year / 1 Feb 2020 – 31 Jan 2021) with Possibility of Extension and 1 month probation period


Since July 2018, Lao PDR has experienced significant damages and losses across the country due to heavy rains and flash flooding caused by tropical storms and the hydropower dam collapse in Attapeu Province.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has been supporting the "Integrated Recovery Program in Attapue Province, Lao PDR" which focuses on agriculture, health, education, skills development, Disaster Risk management and child protection to recover flood-affected area and to support flood affected victims in cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Social welfare.

Under the direction of the Program Manager the Administration Officer will be responsible for conducting administration works. The Administration Officer works in close collaboration with relevant ministries such as Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Department of Labour and Social Welfare and stakeholders

The Administration Officer shall:

  • Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of KOICA PIU Office
  • Prepare all related document, process and monitor payment to vendors .
  • Day to day translation of the document from Lao to English and from English to Lao as required.
  • Support the procurement of office supply and maintenance of equipment as necessary.
  • Ensure that all administration work and financial management are in compliance with the policy.
  • Compile data, and prepare documents for consideration and presentation by Project Staff.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities for permits, visa and licenses
  • Arrange for travel, hotel reservations and logistical support for Project Staff and stakeholders inside and outside Lao PDR
  • Assist in preparation of agendas, minutes of meetings and make arrangements for program related meetings and conferences.
  • Perform other related duties as required


  • Bachelor Degree in Business administration, Office management or other related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in the administration and Office management


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and management skills.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office
  • Organizational and filling Skills.
  • Proficiency in English
