  • Local Intern for administration POSITION TITLE:   Local Intern for administration (unpaid position / daily stipend will be provided)DURATION: 4 May – 29 October 2021 (6 months)PROGRAM: USAID Laos Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) ProjectLOCATION: Vientiane, LaosREPORTS TO: Administration and Finance UnitPOSITION SUMMARY:  USAID Lao Count Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) Project aims at reducing the vulnerability to human trafficking among targeted populations by supporting vocational training and employment opportunities of targeted vulnerable populations.  The intern will support the Administration and Finance Unit in fulfilling administrative and clerical tasks.   • Local Intern for Awards and MEL POSITION TITLE: Local Intern for Awards and MEL (unpaid position / daily stipend will be provided)DURATION: 4 May – 29 October 2021 (6 months)PROGRAM: USAID Laos Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) ProjectLOCATION: Vientiane, LaosREPORTS TO: Awards and Grants Manager / MEL SpecialistPOSITION SUMMARY: USAID Lao Count Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) Project aims at reducing the vulnerability to human trafficking among targeted populations by supporting vocational training and employment opportunities of targeted vulnerable populations. The intern will support the portfolio for grants and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL). For awards, the intern will assist the Awards and Grants Manager in providing logistic and administrative support to and following up actions with sub-awardees. For MEL, the main work will include data entry for monitoring, and follow-up with sub-awardees on data collection.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in tracking and following up with sub-awardees about award related documents and beneficiary information.Translate documents both from and to English/Lao and type as needed.Take notes for all the awards management meetings and prepare the meeting minutes.Assist in preparation for awards-related meetings, trainings, and monitoring including preparing documents and materials and maintaining participants list.Assist in beneficiary data entry into the system, checking errors, and taking notes for issues.Support the Grants Manager in organizing monthly subaward programmatic and financial reportsThe intern may be requested to accompany a field trip (costs to be covered by the project)QUALIFICATIONS: University students/recent graduate in international development, political science, social science development, business administration, or other relevant fields.Ability to work with multiple tasks in a short timeline.Basic knowledge or work experience in finance, accounting, or grants management is an advance.Good command of basic computer skills (Internet, Microsoft Office)Good communications and negotiation skills.Good command of English in writing and speaking   is an advantage.Willingness to learn and support project requests.HOW TO APPLY:  Qualified candidates should apply via e-mail to LaosCTIPJobs@winrock.org – indicating only “Local Intern for Awards and MEL” in the subject line, by April 20, 2021.   • Local Intern for Livelihood and Economic Development (LED) and Communications POSITION TITLE: Local Intern for Livelihood and Economic Development (LED) and Communications (unpaid position / daily stipend will be provided)DURATION: 4 May – 29 October 2021 (6 months)PROGRAM: USAID Laos Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) ProjectLOCATION: Vientiane, LaosREPORTS TO: Livelihood and Economic Development (LED) Specialist and Protection and Services (SPS) Specialist (in charge of communications)POSITION SUMMARY: USAID Lao Count Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) Project aims at reducing the vulnerability to human trafficking among targeted populations by supporting vocational training and employment opportunities of targeted vulnerable populations. The intern will support two areas of work, livelihood and economic development (LED) and communications in this project.  For LED, the intern will support in logistics arrangement, coordination, and preparation for the events, workshops, field work, and data entry. For communications, tasks will include collecting information, contributing ideas to develop IEC materials, and supporting preparation of media articles, and visibility and campaign materials.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: I. Livelihood and Economic Development: Provide logistics and administrative support to prepare for the workshops / training, including preparation of meeting rooms, registration forms, handouts, logbooks, and training materials to be used in the workshop/training.Support entering and maintaining beneficiary data after the field work.The intern may be requested to accompany a field trip (costs to be covered by the project)Support in preparation of beneficiary assessment.II. Communications Assist and support project team on brainstorming, designing, and developing project visibilities and IEC materials such as brochures and posters, and tracking their distribution.Assist and support preparation of events including confirming participants, taking photos, setting up display booths, registration, and posting information on social media.Translate documents such as media articles, IEC materials, and Facebook posts as per requests by the LED/SPS Specialists.Maintain data base for media, service providers and media partners and assist communicating with them.Possibly develop a short film and/or video.Perform other duties and tasks as request by LED/SPS Specialists.The intern may be requested to accompany a field trip (costs to be covered by the project)QUALIFICATIONS: University student or recent graduate in international development, communication, media, and other relevant of the project assistant or other relevant fields.Good command of basic computer skills (Internet, Microsoft Office) and social media platforms and websites including developing online communications.Knowledge on graphic design programs is highly desirable.Basic skills (and preferably experience) for planning events and logistic arrangement.Good command of English in writing and speaking.   Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and independently.Willingness to support activities and engage with civil societyHOW TO APPLY:  Qualified candidates should apply via e-mail to LaosCTIPJobs@winrock.org –  indicating only “Local Intern for LED and Communication” in the subject line, by April 20, 2021.
