  • Alumni Engagement Senior Associate Laos, Australia InstituteAlumni Engagement Senior AssociateOpportunity to add your personal, modern flair to the Laos, Australia Institute Full Time until June 30, 2021Based in Vientiane, Laos PDRThe ProgramLaos Australia Institute is managed by Coffey, a Tetra Tech company, on behalf of the Australian Government.The Institute provides the Human Resource Development (HRD) framework for the delivery of Australian Government scholarships, including Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS) and Laos Australia National Scholarships (LANS). The program supports HRD policies, planning and implementation for the Government of Laos (GOL); through work with two key counterpart organisations, the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA). The program has provided a range of short courses to those Ministries, and also people living with disability and those working in the disability sector. The program is also responsible for delivering strategic alumni engagement activities in cooperation with the Australian Embassy for a large cohort of Lao Australian alumni (particularly focused on women’s leadership).The program remains committed to ensure equality for women, people living with disability and those living in the Provinces (especially those in designated disadvantages districts)As the managing contractor, Coffey, is now seeking applications for an Alumni Engagement Senior Associate.The PositionThe Alumni Engagement Senior Associate is responsible for the effective, efficient and targeted engagement with a broad range of alumni to support the objectives, operational delivery and activity level design and reporting on alumni engagement and communications as outlined in the LAI Alumni Engagement Strategy and Annual Plan, including information management, public diplomacy events and professional development activities.The Senior Associate will be supporting the design and delivery of alumni activities and communications that reflect the needs and priorities of the program and is consistent with value for money, LAI GEDSI Strategy and public and economic diplomacy requirements.The PersonYou will have a Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, and, ideally, up to five (5) years practical working experience in a role, relevant to the position, in a large program within the education sector or context.Coupled with your practical experience in project, event management or training coordination, and an understanding of budgets and financial processes, you will demonstrate experience collecting and analysing data and managing data bases.Together with your advanced level of communication and interpersonal skills and your English language speaking and writing skills, you will display experience in writing speeches, press releases and promotional material for modern all social media platforms.You will demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the Australian Government Aid Program, Australia Awards, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT’S) Gender and Disability Policy and other related policies.Practical experience working with women, people with a disability and minority groups to support and promote their capacity development and learning opportunities will be a strong advantage and highly desirable.A strong collaborative and constructive approach along with a solution focused attitude and the ability to provide flexible and creative responses to competing demands will set you up for success.
