HI is currently seeking a qualified and motivated person to work in the position of Provincial Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Coordinator for its’ project.Position type: Full Time.Duration: one year with possible of extending.Base location: Vientiane Capital (base at Save the Children Office) with sometime travelling to the provinces.Overview of the positionThe Provincial GESI Coordinator will support the USAID Learn to Read (the Activity) implementing partners, Save the Children (SCI) in the North (Xiengkhuang and Vientiane Province) in the overall implementation of the Activity’s Gender and Integration Development Action Plan (GIDAP) which is led by Humanity & Inclusion (HI) for the Activity. The Provincial GESI Coordinator will receive technical guidance from the GESI Specialist employed by HI to enable integration of GESI within all the activities undertaken in the target schools and communities and support the Activity’s teams in the north and the south to ensure the principles of inclusion are adhered to.Main responsibilities and activities:Support GESI Specialist to provide technical guidance to ensure that at the provincial level, the Activity reflects gender equality and social inclusion (including disability and ethnicity) in its’ practices and follows the Activity’s GESI related policies and procedures.Support the implementation of the Activity’s GIDAP by working with stakeholders and Activity staff to provide technical advice or training, as needed.Support the coordination of GESI-related data collection and analysis with the Activity’s Technical Team and contribute to the development of GESI Analysis report and GIDAP in accordance with USAID guidelines ADS 205.Support the development of individual case studies to ensure that theory and application impacts on beneficiaries as surmised.Contribute to written project performance reports for effective monitoring and evaluation of GESI integration activities and monthly budget follow-upDesired qualifications:Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education or gender related field.Excellent Lao and English skills (speaking, reading and writing)Minimum three years’ work experience in education projects with a focus on GESI or minimum three years’ work experience in gender related projects with a focus on education.Minimum one years’ experience in contributing to developing, designing teaching, learning materials, curriculum and pedagogy.Experience of designing and implementing activities related to gender equality and social inclusion in education would be an advantageSuccessful track record of working with organizations led by or representing women, children with disabilities, non-Lao speaking children, or other ethnic groupsPrior experience with advocacy campaigns and policy reform initiatives around GESIPlease be aware a competitive National Package is offer for this roleThe full Job Description of the position can be found on the following website: https://directoryofngos.org/?post_type=jobs&p=4843&preview=trueHI offers approximate net salary LAK 8,000,000 – LAK 9.000.000 + benefits (13th month, insurances, SSO, etc.).Applicants should email a letter of interest (no more than one page) and CV with containing the contact details of 3 references and valid Criminal Record Check to email: email@example.com by 24 Jan 2021; please state clearly in the Email subject the position being applied for.
