MOH – U.S. CDC in Lao PDR is pleased to confirm its offer to hire your consulting services to undertake the consultancy as COVID Activities Coordinator for Umbrella Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) between Lao PDR, MOH and U.S. CDC.The objective of this Umbrella CoAg are as Follows:explore potential mechanism to approach and launch the COVID-19 vaccines outside of public health system, for example, establishing vaccination post attached to the private pharmacies, expanding vaccination time at the public health facilities. Additional value to the achievement of this method, routine vaccination of the children under one year can be considered in the future and surely the result will lead to develop future policy of the disease preventable division (National immunization program) of Mother and Child Health Center.Strengthen the capacity building for National Task Team for COVID-19 vaccines and COVID-19 vaccination policy; andFacilitating the Disease Preventable Division, Mother and Child Health Center (MCHC) Team. Therefore, Mother and Child Health Center is now looking for a Project Coordinator who will be supported the project activities mentioned above, this position will be based in Vientiane.Major responsibilities:Provide technical support and facilitate Core Unit Team and MCHC Project Manager and Project Supervisors on COVID-19 activities in planning, evaluation, and monitoring with the counterparts underneath the Umbrella Collaboration Programme.Provide support for MCHC under Umbrella CoAg by contribution of National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG), relevant sectors including Development Partners as the roadmap to develop COVID-19 deployment and vaccination plan and COVID-19 vaccination policy as well.Support capacity building of MCHC Team in activities operation and action at site visit.Perform quality check of data collection from the MCHC Team (recipients who implementing their own activities) and data entry.Lead the project team in preparing a detailed and prioritized work plan for the project based on the listed project outputs and activities.Contribute and support the technical assistants to MCHC Team and Core Unit staff on daily basic and as required.Meet agreed timeframes and deadlines for reporting results to relevant providers.Contribute the technical assistants to MCHC Team and the Core Unit staff, as required.Visit MCHC Team on daily basis to monitor the progress and assess the situation to solve the problem on timely basis.Support and facilitate the implementation of all activities of MCHC relevance under the Umbrella CoAg and as needed.Make monthly achievement sheets of data collection from each site visit of and individual relevance.Conduct monthly meeting to review the implemented activities and plan for next month.Verbal report to Umbrella CoAg Director and Project Manager of there is any issues.Travel to provinces with the MCHC Team as required.Provide monthly and quarterly reports to MCHC project supervisor as per horizontal and vertical line management and US-CDC Officers.Assist some administrative works pertinent to the evaluations and performances.Perform any other duties as required; andPrepare all documents for project closeout.Skills, qualifications, experience:Bachelor or master’s in medical sciences or other fields related to Public Health program.Good knowledge of public health and medical research, especially in Disease Preventable Vaccines.3-5 years professional experiences.Experience working with government partners and both non international and international development partners.Good communication skills.Good monitoring and evaluation skills.Good computer skills in Office applications.Good written and spoken English preferred.Application SubmissionQualified candidates should submit a CV and a letter of application that address the Qualifications and Experience required to soukphadethkeo@gmail.com & chankham.tbc1979@gmail.com and copy xiw5@cdc.gov before the deadline: January 18th, 2021.
